There are literally so many things that need to be followed this year at the Tour De France race, mainly because there are so many things happening around the race besides just the main exciting sporting event. This is the reason why the Tour De France Guide for the race this year which will be following the race in full detail, as a special edition for the Bicycling Magazine is going to be pretty popular as far as sports enthusiasts and Tour De France fans go. This guide might be something that you would also want to follow if you are one of them.

For starters, there is of course the exciting race with all new extensions made to the route which are going to make it even more exciting and fresh than before. But not only the route, but the competitors themselves are the reason why the drama increases. Not only are there several dark horses who are competing in the race along with the aces such as Lance Armstrong; but Armstrong and his top rival Alberto Contador are top contributors to the same. Their rivalry is even more bitter because formerly they actually used to be teammates in the race, so now they are basically fighting each other more than anyone or anything else in the race- or at least that’s how the story goes.

So, the Tour De France Guide will also be following these facts, about whether their rivalry is actually that bitter and which one of them actually has the chances of winning more. Expert comments and opinions is definitely something that makes a huge difference as far as the race is concerned, and so this is something that any enthusiast is going to prize in the guide.

Not only the drama, but important information as well on the most exciting moments and parts of the race will also be followed greatly in detail in the guide along with information on the five things that every fan absolutely must know about the race this year. In fact you will also be able to find out what exactly all the riders are eating every day and how much calories they are burning in the races too- this is the extent of details you will be able to find out with this guide which is literally going to tell you everything there is to know about the race this year.

Is walking really a sport? I mean, there is an Olympic event that is basically really fast walking, so I suppose if you consider all things Olympic to be sports then sure walking is a sport. But to me no not so much. Walking is more of an activity. And a pretty good one actually. For many people it’s one of the few activities they participate in on a regular basis. And that’s a good thing, since I’m a firm believer in exercise and physical activity. I must say though, that I’m not looking forward to the day when I have to slap on some pedometer and go for my daily walk since it’s the only exercise I’m capable of. Don’t get me wrong, I have no problem with pedometers, it’s just the thought of not being able to exert myself more than just a good walk is a little depressing.

I’m actually one of those workout fanatics that get a little bummed if I’m not doing something physical at least once during the day. Sometimes it’s sport, sometimes it’s yoga, sometimes it’s playing squash, or sometimes it’s just pushing some iron around. Either way, I’m addicted to all of it. You could say I’m a bit of an endorphin junkie. But, hey it’s good for you. As long as I’m doing something active, then I know I’m not just lazin’ around and eating junk food. That would be a double whammy when it comes to this middle age body. And, if it means someday that all I do is walk a few times around the block, then so be it.

If you are in the market for petite ladies golf clubs, then a good place to look for them is online. There are a number of online retailers, some online only, others are online retail sites for larger stores and supermarkets. Whatever the case may be, you can often find what you are looking for easier and cheaper online than at a regular store.

It pays to know what exact kind of golf club or club set you need. There are many models out there; if you are replacing an old set that you were happy with, then write down the specifications of the older set and type them in when you search for petite ladies gold clubs. The more details you provide the internet search engine, the easier and faster you will find what you are looking for.

If you are looking for affordable golf clubs for petite women, then one good option is the Starter Golf Club Set selling at Amazon.com for around $100. You can buy these made for both left-handed and right-handed women. It is a full set, manufactured by American Golf. Another good online retail site to check out is eBay; they are currently selling a set for left handed petite women for only $90. It has what the above mentioned set has, plus a free putter.

Another option from eBay is the Texas Power2 Square Petite Lady Golf Club Set and Bag. It costs a bit more than the above mentioned options at $130, however, this full set contains pretty much every club a lady golfer would need to play golf. This particular set also comes with free shipping, which is another plus. Many online retail sites, while they do have good prices, do not ship your purchase free of charge; this is an additional expense the buyer has to pay. You can also return this set and get your money back within 14 days of purchase, although you would have to pay for the return shipping.

Love the rush of mountain biking, kayaking, or off-road adventure running in the mountains? Extreme sports are great fun and really give you the buzz to stay fit and strong.

The only problem is that it is hard to keep enjoying your sports when the temperature goes way down, until you cant feel your fingers anymore and you end up in bed with the flu every time you go for a ride! Sure, there are some great protective clothes you can get (especially now that Gore-tex and similar products are so affordable) but it isn’t as fun doing stuff when you are rugged up and can’t move properly.

The solution that myself and many people I know use is quite simple – put the insulation under your clothes, not over them. What I am talking about is nothing other than the humble old thermal underwear that can be purchased for relatively low prices almost anywhere.

Thermals are great – they sit snugly on the skin, so they don’t hang and give you a restricted and baggy look or feel. They don’t get in the way, and can’t get snagged on passing objects as you ride or run past them, unlike loose over garments like jackets or jumpers.

How effective are they? In short, very effective indeed. Professional athletes often wear them, as do military and law enforcement officers. Not only do thermals keep in an amazing amount of body heat (you will comfortably walk around in a light weight shirt over your thermal on a frosty morning), but it also draws away moisture from your skin. This means that when you run or ride or whatever, and you begin to sweat, the moisture is absorbed by the fibers of the underwear. The heat rising from your skin then causes this moisture held in the cloth to evaporate – effectively cooling you down again. By the time you are cool, your clothes are dry – ready to do it all again, all day long if need be!

The best thermal underwear is still made of superfine wool, and will provide years of service if correctly washed. Cheaper alternatives include cotton, and various forms of synthetic fibers that are not quite as good, but represent significant cost savings if you are on a budget.

Have you noticed this retro trend in clothing in the last few years? Everything has to be retro these days! It seems we are returning to the sixties and seventies, style and fashion wise. Well, I don’t have a problem with it. Despite being born later, I think seventies clothes are kind of cool.

I’m willing to bet that your grand parents never thought that there would ever be stores in the 21st century that sold vintage stuff. There are plenty of such stores, especially when it comes to clothing. I guess this is a real case of history repeating itself.

Ski jackets are also being sold in vintage models these days. You can find these everywhere. Surf the Internet, browse eBay and Amazon and you are likely to find some real old school stuff in there. All colors and styles are available.

It doesn’t matter whether you like lots of strips or lots of dots. Or maybe you prefer bright colors. Or what about a mixture of clashing bright colors? Hey, when you’re about to go over the top… you might as well get it right from the start!

In the seventies, it was very typical for ski jackets to have bright colors such as orange, yellow and green. These days, these colors are once again being used by modern manufacturers in their newest ski jacket models. Think of Arc’teryx and Spyder, for example.

Whichever ski jacket you end up buying, make sure it is both wind proof as well as water proof. There is nothing more annoying than having the cold creep up on you through your jacket. After all, what are you wearing a jacket for? It’s supposed to protect you!

Luckily, there are not many bad jackets left nowadays. Thanks to modern manufacturing processes, just about all of them are taped at the seams and almost all of them have water tight zippers. But protection from the cold isn’t the only important thing about a jacket. Also get one that has high breathability, so you don’t end up sweating excessively.

Most jackets will also come with a hood, which is very handy for when it gets really cold. If you also intend to wear your jacket when it is only moderately cold, then consider getting a jacket with a removable hood.

Go visit my website to read all the Best Ski Jacket Reviews. Looking for a good jacket to buy? Why not have a look at this Columbia Men’s Whirlibird Ski Jacket Review?

Anyone who has ever spent a few hours on a frozen pond waiting for a nibble knows how different ice fishing is from standard reel or fly fishing — extreme patience and a good deal of resistance to cold is a major requirement, but additional ice fishing gear and supplies are required to ensure that you come back from a fishing trip with a decent haul. Ice fishing rods in particular are different from their warm weather cousins; certain lines and reels are requiring to bring in different types of fish, while the entire range of equipment must be able to handle the cold and the snow.

Micro rods are naturally the smallest type of rods, with the least amount of tension feedback and able to catch smaller fish or bait fish rather than the larger types. Use micro rods to land a perch, a sunfish, a blue gill, crappies, or even smaller sized bass. A stronger rod weight with heavier design can be used for jigging and hauling in a heavier fish or even a game fish, including lake trout that can weigh as much as thirty pounds. Many fishing companies manufacture specific types of ice fishing rods, advertising instant efficiency in your next fishing trip.

A finesse rod is a nineteen inch graphite rod with a small spinning wheel that allows for short sight fishing, so that experienced fishermen can directly look down on their catches and land them without laborious hauling. A dead stick rod works best for catching minnows or other small bait fish, floating on the ice edge with the bobber; the dead stick rod shows action as minnows pass by without alerting or alarming the fish. For large walleyes and lake trout, a spinning rod works best to bring in the bigger sized hauls. These rods are much more sensitive than their smaller counterparts, but are designed to take punishment from passing or landing fish.

Are you interested in having a golf break? Do you need long weekend where you can play golf in the daytime and relax at night without the usual pressures of home and work? Grab your spouse and make plans for a weekend golf vacation. You do not have to go far to get maximum benefits. There are a couple of things to keep in mind while shopping for your golf weekend getaway.

You need to look for areas that offer something for both of you. If your spouse is a golfer as well this widens the possibilities immensely. If not you just need to put a little more time into researching areas to find something that offers you both a way to relax and enjoy your mini vacation. The internet will be your most valuable tool.

Do not drive yourself crazy looking and comparing. Decide on no greater than three sites to work with. You also need to limit how far from home you search. Eliminate express airline tickets by keeping your search to less than 200 miles. Keeping yourself this close will allow you to arrive early and leave late so that you can pack in as much fun as possible.

Use the site tools to narrow your search. Read carefully! Make sure you understand exactly what you are getting for your money. You need to understand the motels policy on cancellations, late arrivals and anything else about the room or the facility that could possibly disrupt your weekend.

Check to see what all is included in the price. You will have to pay taxes, local surcharges and sometimes resort fees. So make sure what is included and what you may still have to pay for. And always remember to bring your own golf tees this are often not included.

Many hotels will also allow you to go ahead and reserve and pay for golf games and choose tee times. If one spouse wants to spend the day at the spa while the other one goes golfing now may be the time to purchase. You can get deep discounts by bundling products together at the time of purchase. Look for additional options to add to your vacation.

Attraction passes that allow you access to multiple attractions throughout the area for one low price. Special tours, guided activities and other fun things can be added on to the vacation for a significant savings over purchasing them separately.

For anyone seeking a fun leisure activity to play with friends, family, or your buddies at the pub, an electronic dartboard might fit the bill. Loaded with features, electronic dartboards come equipped with automatic scoring, multiple game options, voice announcers, and LCD screens — all for a price most budgets can afford. Unlike field and court sports, playing darts on an electronic dartboard requires minimal space and no special game facilities, granting you freedom and flexibility to play wherever you want. Although wooden dartboards use needle-sharp darts that may pose a safety hazard, electronic dartboards reduce the risk of injury by using dull darts with soft tips. And best of all, the game of darts is simple enough for virtually anyone to learn and enjoy — making electronic dartboards perfect for players of any age or athletic ability.

Whether you’re throwing a birthday celebration for your 10-year-old child or hosting a wild frat party, an electronic dartboard is sure to be a hit with your guests. Playing darts doesn’t require Olympics-level athletic skill, but it’s fun enough to keep any group entertained for hours; even typical wallflowers will be tempted to perk up and join the action. Electronic dartboards use soft-tipped darts instead of dangerous metal ones, which helps prevent injury and makes the game safe for any age group. In addition, automatic scoring means you won’t need a volunteer to meticulously tally scores during the game. No matter what type of social function you’re hosting, adding an electronic dartboard to the mix is a surefire way to help your guests interact in an exciting, fun-filled way.

A far cry from their wood-based cousins, electronic dartboards are packed with features that keep your dart games running smoothly and safely. According to the website Electronic Dartboard Central, electronic dartboards often come with an automated scoring system, keeping track of multiple players’ scores throughout the duration of a game. A number of electronic dartboards even come with LCD screens, voice announcers, and programmed games, adding some technological flair to this classic sport. Depending on the model, electronic dartboards may also boast catch ring sensors, missed dart detectors, and other features that ensure accurate scoring — meaning you won’t have to waste a single second of your game arguing score discrepancies. Safety-conscious players can relish in the fact that electronic dartboards use soft plastic darts instead of the sharp, metal-tipped darts required by wooden boards, minimizing the risk of injury and preventing damage to furniture and walls. Coupled with an affordable price, these features make electronic dartboards an excellent choice for any game lover.
