With the World Boomerang Championships starting today at the UW campus (thanks for the reminder, Seattlest!), thought I’d point you to Lindy West’s extremely entertaining piece on local boomerang legend and personal injury lawyer Bestylew Miale-Gix in the August issue of the mag. Here’s a taste: “The boomerang—like quicksand and purebred cats and dehydrated astronaut food—is a concept that I associate entirely with vague childhood memories.
