Nickels Makes Seattle a Top-20 Town, Sez Mag

This month’s Outside Magazine touts America’s twenty best places to live, and Seattle makes their list.

What’s so special about Seattle? According to the mag–and neither Sonics fans or super-lefties will like this–it’s Mayor Greg Nickels.

“Want a green planet? Elect Seattle’s mayor, Greg Nickels…Nickels has been at the forefront of fighting global warming…Not surprisingly, Nickels is just as devoted to his constituents, doing everything from installing hundreds of bike racks around the city to backing a $75 million renovation of Pike Place Market.”

I can think of one part of Seattle that’s a lot less green since Nickels took over.
