In a visit to Seattle earlier this year and in the inaugural issue of Sports Northwest, Sounders minority owner Drew Carey spoke of a fan association that would get to make decisions about the team.

That fan association will have its first meeting Friday, at 4pm, at Kells, with Carey serving as Chairman.

According to the email I got (which presumably goes to all people who’ve placed a deposit toward season tickets): “Drew, who also serves as Chairman of the Members Association, will discuss Member benefits, voting procedures, and introduce the Members Association Council which will give Members an opportunity to get more involved in club affairs.”
